The research findings can support Hin Nam No, Khammouane Province and Laos in addressing illegal wildlife trade more effectively. Furthermore, as wildlife trade is now reconized as a major driver of zoonotic diseases, the study, which was supported by the German Government through GIZ’s ProFEB Project, can help to improve both, the well-being of endangered animals in Laos, and the well-being of the people in the region and the world.
