Following the successful mission held between the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park (PHNK NP) and the Lao Technical Taskforce World Heritage team on 17 – 20 August 2023, the Nomination Dossier has been agreed upon. During the mission, the two teams consulted on the maps (borderline and boundary posts) to be used in the nomination dossier, based on the scale of 1:50.000 for comparison and review in line with the Convention between Vietnam and Lao PDR on the borderline and the border posts signed on 16 March 2016 and the UNESCO guidelines.
On 26 September 2023, the Vice Governors of Quang Binh and Khammouane Provinces signed the agreement on the maps to be used in the nomination dossier for Hin Nam No National Park to propose as the natural transboundary Extension World Heritage to the PNKB NP World Heritage of Vietnam with the witnesses of the Vietnam and Lao delegates and the technical support by GIZ ProFEB.
