On 22–28 April 2023 in Laotel Vientiane Hotel, Lao Women’s Union (LWU) of Boualapha District and the women council committee of Boualapha district of Khammouane province received the Training of Trainer (ToT) training on strengthening leadership, gender empowerment and supporting indigenous women in co-manage Hin Nam No National Park. This training was led by the Natural Resources and Environment Development Promotion Unit (NREP), faculty of forestry sciences, and supported by GIZ ProFEB. The purpose of this training is to enhance the capacity building of LWU and district committees to carry trainings at village level on the topic of leadership, gender equality and to lead village women to develop community action plans to support the natural resource conservation around Hin Nam No National Park.
