The mission of the Lao Delegation to Hanoi took place on 12 September 2022 at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Viet Nam as the Bilateral and Technical Consultation between Laos and Vietnam. The mission was led by the Department of Heritage, with technical support from the GIZ-ProFEB project on submitting the Nomination Dossier of the Hin Nam No National Park as a transboundary extension to the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park of Viet Nam. The objectives were to kick-start collaboration on the transboundary nomination of Phong Nha-Ke Bang and Hin Nam No by consulting, exchanging information, sharing the updated progress and identifying future cooperation.
The results of the bilateral meeting have confirmed its consent to support the Lao delegation to submit the Nomination Dossier of Hin Nam No National Park for the transboundary extension to the Phong Nha-Ke Bang. Furthermore, during this meeting, some documents (the Executive Summary of the Nomination Dossier and revised Tentative List) were shared and agreed upon to appoint the focal point for both sides.
